About these terms
These terms cover SnackCheck on the web (snackcheckapp.com/app), run by BigBalli Consulting ("we"). By using the web app you agree to them. How we handle your data is in our Privacy Policy.
SnackCheck is an information tool, not medical advice
SnackCheck gives information about packaged foods. It is not medical advice.
Results can be wrong or incomplete. Product databases and labels change, and AI can misread photos. Always read the label yourself and follow your doctor's advice, especially for severe allergies.
SnackCheck is not for emergencies. If someone is having an allergic reaction, call your local emergency number.
Free use and Premium
Free use is one scan without an account. With an account you get 3 free scans, plus 5 bonus scans for each referral code that is redeemed. Each account has one referral code.
Premium includes:
- Unlimited scans, with fair-use daily limits to prevent abuse.
- Multiple child profiles.
- Allergen groups.
- The full FDA recall browser.
Plans, all in USD:
- Monthly: $2.99.
- Yearly: $29.99. The yearly plan may include a free trial, shown at checkout.
- Lifetime: $59.99, paid once.
Subscriptions and refunds
Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Account, then Manage billing (the Stripe customer portal). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
We do not give partial refunds, except where the law requires them. To ask for a refund, email [email protected].
Lifetime is a one-time purchase that lasts for the life of the web service.
Web and iPhone purchases are separate
A web purchase does not unlock the iPhone app, and an iPhone purchase does not unlock the web app.
Acceptable use
Please do not:
- Scrape the service or run automated scanning.
- Resell the service.
- Abuse referral codes.
- Circumvent limits.
We may suspend accounts that do.
Your account
Accounts are for adults (18 and over), such as parents and caregivers. You can delete your account at any time from the Account page. Deleting it cancels any web subscription.
No warranty and limit of liability
We provide the service as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months.
Changes
If we change these terms, we update the date at the top. Material changes are shown in the app.
